Procedures for enrollment of external students in the UA Field Course

1. Submit Field Course Application and $100 deposit to Department of Geological Sciences before April 3 (Debbie Frank and/or Myla Turner 205 348 5095). Myla Turner will help you to enroll. Call if you cannot get the deposit in on time!

2. Apply for transient student status at UA

b. you must provide a letter of good standing from a current school or transcripts

c. you are restricted to 12 hours of classes and you are eligible for the department scholarship of $400, which is awarded to all who successfully complete the course

3. Obtain a letter of permission from your current school with the UA course number [GEO 495] on the letter in order to receive credit.

4. External out-of-state students must pay out-of-state tuition – due in mid May
